LEANNE FINK
Leanne Fink is an American artist who creates visually dynamic oil paintings that awaken the senses and move the spirit. Her art displays a contemporary style that is expressive and representational. On one level, it delights viewers with strong shapes, a bold palette and textural elements. And yet, in that same moment, it reaches through to the heart of the art lover and demands introspection.
Leanne’s art is visual joy. It is sophisticated. The artist brings a masterful sense of color's therapeutic value to every composition. Her paintings seem to move with vibrational scintillation. Textural elements applied with palette knife energize and add satisfying complexity to the viewer's experience. Smooth, blended areas rest the mind's eye and encourage pausing for a moment of contemplation.
Fink states, "I call myself a landscape painter, but that only scratches the surface. Visionary images taken from dreams and concepts influenced by an interest in the cosmos often spill over into my work. My visual vocabulary is all about color and texture.”
Leanne's work has been selected by the US Department of State's Art in Embassies Program for exhibition at the US Embassy in Amman, Jordan. She has received numerous awards of excellence for her work. Her art has been included in many juried exhibitions and can be found in both corporate and private collections worldwide. Her studio is located in Loudoun County, VA where she also teaches private lessons.
